Damp proofing
Protect the timber holding your home together
Where there is long-standing damp there is often a timber problem too. Wet rot and dry rot both feed on damp wood, and woodworm thrives in it, and left alone they weaken joists, skirtings, floorboards and roof timbers. Dry rot in particular can spread well beyond the patch you can see.
We identify what is affecting the timber, treat it and, just as importantly, deal with the damp that allowed it to start. That might mean treating and replacing affected sections of wood, applying the right preservative and fixing the moisture source at the same time. Treating the timber without curing the damp only buys a little time, so we always tackle both together.
